Accessware

Robotics for accessibility testing

SpartaHack 11 · Michigan State University

THE QUESTION

How can a robot help us test accessible interfaces?

My contribution

For Accessware at SpartaHack 11, I designed and integrated an Arduino-controlled robotic arm for an accessibility QA platform.

The arm automated physical testing of controllers and joysticks. My contribution connected mechanical design with electronic control to support repeatable interactions with physical inputs.

The project brought together my interests in robotics and accessibility through a tangible testing application.

OUTCOME / CONTRIBUTION

Integrated a robotic arm for automated controller and joystick testing.

The process

  1. 01

    Design the robotic mechanism

  2. 02

    Integrate Arduino control

  3. 03

    Automate physical controller inputs
