THE QUESTION

How can a bearing material become more manufacturable?

My contribution

During my research engineering internship at Tenneco, I developed and tested 24 experimental aluminum–zinc bearing samples through casting, heat treatment, and engineering analysis.

The work evaluated design variables and identified approaches that were ineffective. Those findings helped narrow the development path toward a more cost-effective, manufacturable bearing material.

This overview describes the contribution documented in my résumé. It does not include internal compositions, processing parameters, customer information, or test datasets.
